Dark red color. Aromas of blackberry, blueberry, rosemary spice and a hint of dark chocolate and tobacco. Blackberry & blueberry flavors with a nice slight tart edge dominate up front followed by spices and finishing with mellow tannins and a memorable long finish.

Honeymoon in South Africa; 12/16/2008-12/23/2008 (Londolozi, Cape Town, Constantia, Somerset West, Stellenbosch, Paarl, Franschoek - South Africa) : This wine was formerly known as "Solitude", which was the name of the vineyard plot, but I was told that Eenzaamheid means the same thing in in Dutch and Afrikaans. Anyhow, this was a really nice Shiraz, perhaps just the tiniest half-step behind the very good Beacon. Nose was tight at first, but very serious stuff, with bramble, wood-spice, pepper and fynbos …
