followed the Kabby, already quite developed on the nose, perhaps a reflection of the warm vintage. honeyed nose, caramel, still hints of lovely florals. signature yellow appley aromas too. slightly oily on the palate, but well balanced by the just med acidity, which I expected more. at peak now, with good complexity from honeyed notes and zesty texture, although slightly fatter than I would expect. perhaps not the most complex wine but very enjoyable wine nonetheless.

I could have spent the whole night sniffing without drinking. The aromas of fresh apples, with hints of saline steel and flint are beguiling! The wine is still young with rich notes over firmly textured acidity. A beauty but still needs time.

Outstanding wine. The fruit definitely shines through with green apples, crisp pears early on. Citrus notes come through later. Very well balanced and not overpowering.

Blousy, not structured, not a good representation of the appellation.

A little young, but drinkable now. Green apple, pear, honey in the beginning with some acid, citrus notes after opening up awhile. Certainly a well balanced dry white.

Am Gaumen irrer Grip, salzig, mineralisch, strukturiert, präzise. Kreide, Stein, kratzig, fast scharf (Ingwer), jede Menge Druck, aber der eher hohe Alkohol stört nie. Sehr lang. Easy drinking, crisp white with notes of yellow apple, grapefruit, cut grass, white peach, chamomile, and hay. Plenty of acidity and good body.

Citrus, pineapple, hint of banana, slight smokey mineral, nice high acid. light bodied.

2018 Domaine Fournier-Longchamps Savennières La Croix Picot was pure, juicy and expressive. The youthful Loire Chenin Blanc was clear and pale lemon in colour. Aromas of ripe red apples, Bartlett pears, melon and white blossom were accompanied with a whiff of gunflint smokiness. The mouthfeel was dry and medium-bodied, with high level of crisp acidity.
