Four hour slow ox. Very deep dark electric magenta color. Concorde grape jelly, baking spice, and fig on the nose. Smooth, dry palate, with nice acidity. Firm, medium intensity tannins on the medium long finish. Easy drinker, but very jammy. Aged in 100% American oak for 12 months. 85% PS and 15% Zinfandel

C: dark blood red but clear. Pretty. S: sandalwood, blue cheese, plum, black cherry, blackberry, blue raspberry candy T: more woody tannin, very grippy, well blended with fruit. Spice like nutmeg. Not completely dry, a small amount of sugar. How to use: store until 2024-5. Treat like a big red. R: Liked it

Nose of subtle menthol and crushed blackberries, first sip presents a slight tang, subsequently opening into a barrage of sweet ripe tannins, brambles and blueberry syrup at mid palate. Long smooth 20 second finish. Not too viscous or heavy and balanced enough to belie the 14.5% abv . Think freshly made waffles drizzled with blueberries and jammy syrup.
