Domaine Girard Muscadet de Sèvre-et-Maine Tradition sur lie

not the lightest muscadet, but nice texture. agree with most of falcon's notes, allspice, cashew and seashell finish. definitely not puff-pastry leesy forward like some other melon from loire I've tasted from this vintage at a similar price point. worked well with yellowtail collar. it's delicious, the fruit is much louder than its contemporaries. body is light enough when properly chilled. for like $20 or less this feels like another great QPR muscadet play. low 90s for me.

Bread dough, green apple, green pear, saline on the nose. Warm on the nose. A unique marshmallowly mouth feel, it even tastes a bit like a marshmallow mid to late palate. Green apple on the finish. Good acid. A light but lingering finish. A light, bright wine that has body. This refreshing and fun to drink in the way that gamay is. A really enjoyable wine.
