May 2025 Tasting Trip to Champagne, Burgundy and the Rhône; 5/22/2025-5/31/2025 (La Belle France) : Tasted at the domain. Spicy cherry pit. Some plum and Rooibos tea. Palate is fresher and more red fruited. Big but not all that interesting.

“Rustic in the best way, with polished finesse ” Flexes with ripe blackberries, garrigue, crushed stone, and a touch of smoked meat—classic Gigondas with a lifted edge. The palate is generous yet disciplined, with fine-grained tannins framing a core of dark fruit and savory herbs.Theirs is vibrant energy here that feels both rugged and refined. Long finish. Can be enjoyed now with air. Will also go the distance.
