Smooth and balanced. Raspberry, cassis and leather on the palate. I may have caught this in a dormant phase as there was not much complexity here. I have had Keenan before and expected more.

One hour slow decant. Nice nose of cassis, dark cherry and plums. Pallet follows the nose. Everyone really liked this. It has aged well and. May even get better with another couple of years in a cool cellar. Good value for a Napa cab. 93--94

While good when first opened this really blossomed after about 60 minutes. Spice, sandle wood, red plums. Good mouthfeel and finish. No one picked this out as a cab but everyone enjoyed it. Probably just entering it's prime window. Nice wine !

Medium plus weight; good mouthfeel all the way through; good berry fruit. mostly resolved tannins. About at the end of its optimal drinking window.

Quick decant. Nose of black fruits, black olives, and strong fresh sage and thyme aromas. Dusty black fruit palate with resinous dried herbs, chicory, dark chocolate, roses, coffee bean and a powerful white pepper spice aspect. Plenty of acidity with oil-cured black olive, black fig, cherry, cinnamon, and lots of oak and vanilla. A big styled oaky Cab but well made.

Very much a signature Spring Mtn wine. Concentrated small Cabernet Mtn fruit berries. Gushing fruit but with great structure and tension on the backend.

Nice well balanced and tasteful wine. It has a touch of sweetness more that I think it should have but that may still be influence from the big fruitiness. Dry on the back pallet in the middle and on the mouth in the finish. Has not changed much since it was initially released.

1 1/2 hour slow ox. Nose: Bright sweet red fruits and wet cement traces with that typical perfumy Spring Mountain aroma that is SO intoxicating! Unreal aromas. Palate: Red fruited with some blueberry and soft yet very present tannins and solid acid levels. Finish is lengthy yet fresh due to the acids. A wine of superb class and truly exemplary of what is possible in Spring Mountain. So glad to have one more in the cellar. Fantastic!

Nice red fruit! I got aromas of black cherry pie, slightly burnt toast, maybe graham cracker. Mocha, rhubarb, cardamom, hints of mint or menthol, some spice and a little chocolate. There was a slight funkiness that was actually pleasant and appealing. Taste like cherry liquor without the presence of alcohol. After an hour that taste seemed to be more like raspberry: a nostalgic reflection of Chambord. The tannins were mild sweet and somewhat chewy. The acidity was mild. The wine …

A nose of some dark fruit and spice, dark garnet in color. A medium to full bodied red, with black cherry, blueberry, some licorice and spices on finish, was very good. www.winelx.com

Incredible wine for the price point. Hugely concentrated wine with mountain fruit bursting with black & blue fruit. Firm structure on the backend suggesting this will continue to age well, but it will only soften. Not sure the depth of this fruit concentration will ever allow for much in the way of tertiary notes even with age. Lovely spice on the finish. A crowd pleaser for sure.

Big Spring Mtn fruit of deep blackberry and plum, opened after a double decant of about an hour. Notes of pepper and spice with a solid tannic backbone and super long after taste. A delicious Napa cab that is just singing but will give my remaining bottle another few years of rest. Paired perfectly with a pan seared and oven finished 3" prime filet. My wife commented it's the best wine we have drank in quite some time.

Better on night two. Similar to my prior tasting notes. Clearly Spring Mtn fruit but structured and austere: I will hold my remaining bottles a while longer.

Tannins need some more time to integrate. Decated 2 hours before consuming

Drank way too young! Hold these for 5+ years. Took a few hours to open up.

Decanted for 6 hours, initially very tannic but smoothed out. Beautiful red fruit, cedar, almost a subtle candied cherry on the mid palate. Long finish. Will last a long time in the cellar.

Very similar tasting note to my prior one back in August. While still very youthful, it is bursting with small berry concentrated mountain fruit character. The vines really worked hard to produce these grapes. Decanted for 1 hour.

This will warrant a higher score in 3-5 more years in bottle. Right now, it is a big, brawny Cali Cab showing off its Spring Mtn fruit concentration. Great structure and backbone that suggests it will evolve nicely once all of the pieces integrate. Right now, it is just a bit disjointed. If drinking now, give it a 2 hour decant and pair it with Prime beef.
