Weekly tasting group #164; A fully blind test. (@ SB) : Concentrated ripe red and dark berries, a lot of vanilla from the oak, good acidity and sticky tannin. Wait with this wine until 2017 or 2018 so it all can integrate and soften a bit more.

Great QPR (15$ @ MLCC in YWG). Not unlike last vintages notes, although i like this better. Will age and mature to its benefit over next couple of years. Black lightly smoked fruit on nose and palate. Nice acid and light tannin. Fruit is smoked, perhaps a light bitter/burnt quality - but not a bad thing necessarily.
