Crios de Susana Balbo Malbec

Well this is not an expensive wine, but that doesn't mean I have to like it, over acidic, lacking fruit, dead on the nose and after a couple of hours no improvement and down the sink it went. I stand by my comment on another Susana Balbo wine where I stated I believe she has to big a portfolio and is to thinly spread, this wine would confirm that, yet so many of her wines are very good.

Wow, quite a fluctuation of opinions there. At first Biting and tart, but after a couple of hours with food Mellowed into an enjoyable med body medoc.

foul. absolutely foul! Taste of insecticide saturated oak barrel juice. This wine is quite possibly the worst I have had in years...

I liked this even less than the first time I had it. Acerbic and astringent. There are much better Mabecs for the money. If this is your only choice drink something else

Acidic and awkward. Pepper. Wood nose. A bit disappointing.

Very nice, value wine. Blackberries and cherries are the dominant flavors and it holds a wonderfully lingering finish, for $12. This is an approachable yet appreciable weekday (or Friday night pizza) bottle. I'll be picking up some more to keep around for emergencies.

A little harsh. Better with food.
