Domaine G. Roblot-Marchand Chambolle-Musigny

Dark garnet. Soft nose of wild forest dark cherry and palate of black and red berries and velvet tannins that stay through the long finish. What first offers a Bourgogne is followed by a steady mineral stream of sweet top notes with savoury sour bottom notes sandwiching that tea like tannin finish and a smoky end. Is it Chambolle? Maybe a more masculine side of it. Accuracy 2/2 Balance 3/3 Complexity 2/3 Depth 2/2

Indistinguishable from the 1er Noirots bottling from the same producer, this was a very pretty wine with sanguine and soy flavors wrapped in a tart berry exoskeleton. Delicious and seductive, I would happily buy this again for $25 less than the Noirots.
