Decanted an hour but it needs two. Dark black color. Classic StE flavor profile. Still plenty of tannins to carry it for many years. Will hold my remaining three bottles for a while. This is an excellent QPR StE.

Decanted 90 mins prior to French-themed dinner at R&A’s. Gorgeous dark garnet with crimson rim. Evolving dark red fruit on the nose along with espresso, cocoa, vanilla biscuit, cedar. Medium plus body with a generous core of dried black cherry and cassis liqueur. Medium plus finish. This accompanied the delicious coq au vin. However, it took a backseat to a 2016 Ch Badette that was much fuller in body and longer in finish and had a tantalizing black liquorice palate. …

I had my first bottle two years ago. This was my second. Open this bottle an hour in advance. Same as previous notes. Complex flavors of black raspberry, earth. Cherry, licorice. More tobacco and leather in this bottle. Very rich and masculine. Gorgeous.

Similar to previous notes, this is such an excellent buy at the price I paid of about $37, upon pre-arrival. This is rich and powerful. There was a slightly savory note I often find with Sonoma cabs (and find unwelcome in those Sonoma cabs), but this brought more charm. 94+pts. Showing quite well already.

Seems an off bottle so no score. A bit thin and acidic. Not like any of my previous bottles.

Took out cellar and stood upright for an hour. Then decanted about an hour before dinner. Note: lots of sediment. Initial nose was encouraging. Then when paired with roast lamb, what could be better? Very little. Delightful.

Velvety, buttery, slight brown tinge on edge of glass. Liked it quite a bit. Not too acidic.

Decanted one hour. Dark black color. This wine continues to get better and better. So much structure & extraction with amazing depth. This continues to be the best 2015 StE I have had. Long lingering finish. Black fruits dominate. Very big and masculine. Opulent & superb.

Same as previous notes. Only reason this doesn’t score higher is short finish. Black color. Decanted 90 minutes. Still one of the best QPR StE in 2015.Medium/Full mouthfeel/body. Nice structure. Drinking great right now.

Similar to previous notes, this is if anything deeper and more expansive on the palate, showing so much richness and poise.

Decanted 90 minutes at my sons house. Dark color and nose is more open now. This is opulent and full. Still needs a couple hour decant. Amazing QPR. Forest floor, tobacco, leather and wine is open but not fully mature. Still a bit of tart fruit but it’s wonderful. I should buy more of this while it’s still under $55.

Decanted 75 minutes then poured back in bottle. This was an off bottle or like Chopperwine suggested just closed down. Fruit was tart & young compared to previous bottles. It did improve a bit at the end but will try again in 6 months or so. I should have pulled a 2014 but based on previous bottles I thought it was ready.

"Gone Fishing.". This wine is definitely in a closed down period. From previous tastings, I know this is seriously good wine. And it's still is, but absolutely in its closed down period - just waiting to invite the world to its next phase. Right now, the fruit is hiding, the salty graphite (as someone described below) is definitely on the forefront. Hold for at least another year.

Quite concentrated, stacked-and-packed. Feels like good value for such a powerful wine, with plenty of potential. Some charm is already showing, but clearly on the young side and needs more time than others from this relatively accessible vintage. This improved by the third day, showing great power but also more complete and softer tannins. This is excellent quality for the price and I expect to pick this up in other vintages going forward.

Uncork the bottle 1.5 hours in advance. Complex flavors of black raspberry, earth. Cherry, licorice, salty graphite on the palate. Very smooth and easy to drink.

P&P, best after 30-60 minutes of opening the bottle. Very powerfull, tannic, but also showing great layers of fruit. On the young side, but in my view outclassing the 2009 Giscours we drank after.

Decanted 1.5 to 2 hours, and drank over long, warm evening. First tastes while decanting were somewhat closed but not overly tannic. Very dark black in glass. At 15% alcohol, it is a big wine with New World characteristics Long finish. Will cellar longer, but drinking well now after decant.

Decanted 90 minutes but this bottle needed 2 hours. Nose is mostly Merlot but you can smell the Cab Sauv also. Dark black color so you know black fruits coming. More tannic than last bottle but not overbearing. Tar, tobacco, chocolate, cassis & graphite. Typical StE profile. Lots of flavor layers & complexity. Just entering drinking window that will last a decade or more. QPR is amazing. So much so that I just ordered more of this. Drink now or …

Decanted 75 minutes. Poured 1/4 glasses 30 minutes before dinner of veal parmigiana. Dark color, nose is quite fruity and little terroir. For sure another Modern StE wine. Typical leather, tobacco & chocolate wrapped in red/black fruits. Fruit is still tart & young. Wine for me needs another 18-24 months to lose that tart, young fruit. Cab is for sure is evident which I like. Gives more structure. An excellent wine that will get much better.

I guess. A long life of drinking wine gives me, and this is always the case, a different and longer perspective. If you are young these wines are the only perspective you have. Now that Bordeaux has if you will, while balanced, reached a sort of VERY modern style Bordeaux stage where in my view it has reached a scale where it has become entirely one dimensional - overblown if you will. These wines have no grip or nuance - …

Wow…serious wine and seriously good!! Nose is oak, blackberry cassis , touch wet earth…nose really pulls you in Flavor is full….blackberry, graphite, tobacco, earth and it finishes like a heavyweight with well balanced fruit earth and tannins perfectly commingled… For the price it blows away so many Cali blends….what a wine what a QPR… wish I had a case… This improved immensely from my previous note…. Memorable wine and that’s saying something… Tasted this after 4 days in Wineart ….. …

Smashingly good! Very Cabernet in it's character. Refined and lots of dense rich red fruit. Getting better by the bottle, only 2 left :( ... Was worth the wait. Drinking amazingly well now. No decant needed. This is what high end Napa Cab blends should taste like, but that's not possible as this is in France from one of the most epic regions of wine-making in the world, and it shows for a fraction of the cost.

Needs more time, even after an hour decant. Most would realize that this is obviously still young but already drinkable in the sense that shows well enough to consume now. Nose of forest floor and thick, sweet blueberries, cassis and dark cherries in a somewhat dense way. Velvety tannins and a long finish. Time should be very kind to this wine.
