A nice Chianti. There is fruit, cherry and some subtle leather. Acidity is enough to support the fruit and the concentration. The wine needs some more cellaring or some decanting. In one year will be better.

Savory black pepper and rich black fruit. Decent for the price.

Ok Chianti…. A few extra dollars gets you a lot better though…

First bottle was a bit tight, dry and not too fruity; the second was much brighter and fruitier, more luscious and richer… Need to open a couple more to see if that was a flawed bottle or there is more general bottle variance.

A great Chianti Classico! Deep red color. Leather and fruit (blackberry) on the nose. Juicy acidity supports the structure. Very juicy fruit is balanced with some secondary notes, earth, dried leaves and leather. Quite a bit of structure on the palate. It is totally drinkable but some 6 extra months in the bottle will make it even better. Great buy.

90+ as it opens July 2025 lowered to 89/88. Not exceptional, but very high quality and typical chianti. And yes, it is a bit on the tart side. Light, translucent ruby in the glass. No apparent sediment. lovely nose of flowers and cherries. Initially more acidic, and more harshly tannic than many of the other (more $$$) Sangiovese's I have had recently. I believe part of this is the need to open up, and some is a tribute to its …

Dark ruby color with hint on the nose. Fresh dark fruit flavor, tighter tannins, with a higher acidic body. Too young.

The fruit is muted, savory notes dominate. It will be interesting to see if things come into balance with a bit more bottle age

Popped and poured. Very dark ruby color, tobacco-tinged nose. The wine is a bit tight, as one might expect from a youthful Chianti Classico, but it is quite promising. Lots of dark fruit, with lot of tertiary notes of roast meat, tobacco, and leather notes. Wine has an excellent QPR, and has lots of upside.
