Domaine Rion Chambolle-Musigny Les Cras

Nez floral discret, sous-bois, joli. Le vin est léger et très charmeur, avec une texture veloutée. Frais, juteux, il est résolument hédoniste avec ses accents de petits fruits rouges. Moins profond que le 2022 mais tout aussi charmeur. Franchement délicieux. 90-91

Patrice Rion Tasting of the 2023 vintage : Delicate, sweet bouquet, very pure strawberry and herbs. Vibrant acidity, fresh fruit and sous bois. Going to improve for sure though approachable now. Keep 5-10 years.

Visit to Domaine Michèle & Patrice Rion : An elegant wine with floral notes popping out of the glass first. Fruit of sour cherry and raspberry, nicely crisp in style, an green herbal aromatics. The palate is smooth with fine tannins a good level of freshness.

En Primeur barrel sample. North part of village with south exposure. Above Les fuees. Thin soil. Stoney vineyard chalk and clay. Perfumed nose. Delicate on palate showing redder fruit; underripe strawberry, some raspberries and cranberry. Chalky freshness underpinning. Elegant and light on palate but depth of flavour.
