Fantastic, golden raisin, apple compote, just a hint of nuttiness but none of the saltiness or overdone oxidation of amontillado. dark in color, but lasted fine until day 2, indicating decent life ahead. curry, fenureek and cinnamon. fantastic complexity. only concern is that acid is barely elevated, so its freshness eems to be barely balanced, n light of the rich fruit character

This is a rich gold past its prime and slightly oxidized. Third bottle so some basis for comparison, and it should have been consumed younger when it showed more acidity. Now more tropical with pineapple and ripe pear, just a touch sweet, and very little acidity for balance. But a great bottle in its day.

Deep golden color, complexity of a La Dorianne but w/a less luxurious nose. Taste and constant evolution in glass made up for it and then some. I think the wine is likely at its peak and would suggest drinking your remaining glasses soon. Unbelieveable QPR.

PnP. Ah, this is really good. Lively color, very fresh bouquet with citrus, peach, grassy. Extremely attractive nose. On palate it's enjoyable: herbal, greasy, fruity with a slight bitter end palate and a medium plus finish. I liked this A LOT and much much more than the 08. (92-93)

I opened my 2nd, and last, bottle at our 12/11/11 Spanish wine tasting. It had a rich, fragrant and incredibly complex bouquet of baking spice, dried herb, cinnamon, honeysuckle, pear, apple and tangerine aromas. The palate was complex, rich and ripe with flavors that followed the nose. This wine was truly stunning. I’ll be watching for the next release!

Exceptional wine. Slight minerality, rich and complex, long finish, beautiful color. Paired w/a clam and bacon chowder soup. First rate.

We had this at our 2/20/11 Spanish White tasting. It was fabulous. The bouquet was incredibly complex with baking spice, dried herb, cinnamon, honeysuckle, pear, apple and orange (just a hint) aromas. The palate was big, rich and wonderful with flavors of baking spice, orange, cinnamon, ginger, pear and apple. This was one of those rare wines where it is impossible to pick out all the elements, let alone adequately describe them. This was fantastic and the group’s WOTN! 95+

The 2007 La Claudina is 100% Godello. It was aged in two 700- liter barrels and one standard barrique for 11 months with batonnage. And it shows. This was tasted blind amongst a group of sophisticated tasters and we thought that it might be a Chardonnay. In fact it bears similar characteristics to the 2007 Peter Michael "Mon Plaisir" I tasted a week later. A lively, deep, clear gold with hints of straw in colour. There are suggestions that this …
