Dinking very well now. Far more interesting and complex than when we last tried it in 2019. For me, there was still a bit of tannic flavor. Perhaps that would soften more over the next 5 years?

Very good. Floral and fruity, really nice example of Pomerol.

Great nose! Still tannic enough to support years in the Cellar, but drinking great now as well.

Open for 2 hours. No decant. Blue and black fruit and charcoal dominate the nose and palate. Some truffle through the palate and a hint of saline. It has put on weight over the last few years. It’s in a very good place. I liked it young and I still like it now. Unsure where it will go from here. I have one more bottle and probably won’t wait long to open it.

Aerated and let breathe for 2 hours; the wine was nicely open having great structure with a long finish, perfectly aged, very little sediment; this wine would easily rest at least another 5 years, but it’s perfect right now.

In a good spot to drink now. Nice flavors of cherry, smoked fruit, and meat fat. A hint of oak. Tannins are receded and supportive of the wine structure. It is good but not a great value at the price paid.

Good deep red. Decidedly mineral note in the nose. Iodine and red fruit. Drinking quite nicely. Lots of mineral notes. Lacking complexity and a “wow” factor, but quite nice and polite. 4-12-15-8: 90/100

Fruit forward nose, purplish. Long finish. Still young but good complexity. Great value at $50.

Rather one-dimension on the nose: plum, new wood, some spice, blackcurrant liqueur. Not a great deal happening on the palate, either, with a hint of spice to support the slightly overstated fruit. Plenty of new wood, and a somewhat slavish imitation of a new world style, with, admirably, some restraint applied. Perfectly decent bottle, which is already drinking well, but there are far better Pomerols out there. Little sense of terroir.

Forward, soft, sweet and seductive, this easy drink wine delivers ample fresh, black cherries, dark chocolate and earthy notes. Perhaps it’s slightly more interesting at this point on the nose than the palate. This could prove to be a better wine if it develops well with aging.

2012 UGC; 3/5/2015-3/6/2015 (Singapore) : Was secretly hoping for something bigger and more concentrated after some of the mediocre wines preceding but no, was not meant to be

Saturated very dark red violet color; appealing, tart black currant, light violet, floral nose; silky textured, dense, tart black currant, violet, menthol palate; needs 7 years; long finish

UGC 2015 (Chicago, IL) : Another Pomerol husk: an empty palate with nowhere near enough density of fruit or anything else of interest to counterbalance the large amount of barnyard character.

Black cherries, truffle, oak and floral notes open to a soft Pomerol with sweet cherries and bitter chocolate in the finish. Close to 30% of the harvest was whole cluster fermented in barrel. 90-92 Pts
