App: medium ruby Nose: medium plus intensity; aromas of perfumed red roses, red cherry, toast, some caramel notes, green olives, nutmeg. It’s developing. Palate: dry, high acidity, medium tannins, high alcohol, medium plus tannins, medium plus flavour intensity, red cherry, ripe fruit. The finish is medium plus. Decent middle of the road Pinot. I have been waiting to try the Dom. Carneros Pinots for a while. This was a dark rose color. A bit muddy in clarity. Raspberry and cherry are the predominant flavors. Acidity is moderate which I appreciate.there was some earthiness to this also. This was neither earthy and smoky enough to be”new world” nor delicate and layered like an “old world” style, just middle of the road and not terribly distinctive.
