Fairly big wine for the price; dark nose, juice and distinctive tannins on smokey finish

Big nose ofbright cherry, some strawberry, hint of raspberry. Tight in the mouth, blueberries, decent tannins. Would probably benefit from a bit of aging, but not a lot. Didn't try with food yet, good steak wine probably. Airing opens it a touch, and picks up a slightly more Smokey nite

(Porteño with Joy and Kok-Li) Dark garnet in the glass, quiet nose with some dusty black and blue berries. Bit quieter than our earlier pinot, this medium bodied red had some fine tannin structure, held up with hints of dark cherries, dusty mulberries and juicy red plums. Well balanced, and a pleasant earthy savoriness at the finish - a great food wine pairing VERY well with our medium-rare grass-fed Angus, and the delectably juicy/crispy 8 hour woodfired pig.

Tinge of musty sage on the nose was not entirely pleasant. However, nicely structured and luscious, sleek dark fruit with plum and cassis. Vibrant without being heavy. Higher alcohol content than you might think. This was nice.

Smells like Koolade. Tastes better, especially at first, but with a medium-term Koolade finish. Low good (80.5).

A bouquet of flavours! Jammy but with no sweetness. Inky colour bodes well for the dense flavour you will taste. Very good (85.5).

Vibrant and complex for the style (and price) with olive, tea and licorice accents to the bright, creamy plum flavors. Medium+ bodied on the palate, sweet and distinctly creamy, with medium acidity and very moderate, bitter tannin.

Ripe, round and juicy, medium bodied, with lots of fresh plum and black cherry fruit flavors that are impressively persistent for a wine at this price range.

Drinkable, gulpable a good wine when you just want a simple quaff with now thinking or lingering or wondering what food to pair with, sit back watch a movie and relax kind of wine.
