This was actually a delightful surprise. I opened the bottle expecting it to be good to below average and it was quite good. Very easy to drink. After about 30 minutes of being opened it was performing extremely well. I wouldn't sit on it to much longer if you have any left as there is no tannin structure left to support any more aging. But an absolute joy.

i may have waited too long. Currently medium bodied, fruit mostly gone, moderate acidity, soft tannins, not much complexity, but pleasant if ordinary

Red & blue fruit with a hint of cedar on the nose. Still has decent structure and pleasant finish. Still drinking well.

Last bottle has aged very nicely. Smooth with a nice mouth coating body still. Fruit/Tannins are very well balanced.

Decanted for 1 hour. Sweet black fruit -- black cherry, black berry, black currant -- w/ hints of oak, chocolate and spice. Wine improved with extra decanter time as a slight vegetal aroma often seen in Merlots of this price range completely dissipated. As always, an excellent wine for the money. You could honestly mistake this for a $50 Napa Cab.

Black cherry fruit and deep secondary flavors, tea and tobacco; really liked this.

No detailed notes, but this was very nice, rich fruit, little bit of mocha.

Nice stuff. Lots of dark berry fruit with a deep rich color. A touch of oak and a long smooth finish. Really quite a nice WA Merlot at a good price.

Still very high on this wine -- blackberry and chocolate on the nose, tannins are smooth but still evident. This was a great qpr even when purchased at a wine tasting w/ inflated prices.

Bottle age has improved this wine. Aromas/flavors of blackberry, plum, vanilla, spice and chocolate. Soft, plush tannins create an elegant wine. Layered flavors end with a lingering finish that has a definite chocolate character. This reserve effort is a great bargain @ $20.

Very fragrant nose of vanilla & creme broulee, sweet ripe fruit, medium body, nice finish-a respectable merlot.

Nice easy drinking merlot. Complex nose of new oak, chocolate, and spice. A little low on the fruit, but it is still evolving. It should show better integration in a year. Drink 2007-2010.

Tasted as part of the WD TWF event. This was decanted for just over 2 hours by the time we got around to tasting it, on its own and with dinner. Deep garnet/purple in color, almost opaque at the center of the glass. On its own: Notes of blackberry, dark fruit, and either mint or maybe cassis jump from the glass, with a slightly 'earthy' component lying underneath it all. Very Cab-like in my mind, and I would have picked …
