Garnet core. Ripe cherries, green olives, tobacco, smoke, and warm spices on the nose. The palate is on the dry side, has good black fruit, nice texture, tangy acidity, and a medium finish that repeats the cherry and olive themes. Lacks complexity, and a bit rustic, but not bad.
