Dutcher Crossing Pinot Noir Reserve Maboroshi Vineyard

This is an amazing cab. Balanced but not huge. Good alone and really great with food. Got even better after it was opened for a while.

Decanted, modest sediment with few larger bits, after 40 minutes, the nose has fruit and rich with black currant, grand flavor

This wine is improving with age. We upped the score two points based on deeper bouquet, big fruit - berries - and a lovely mouth feel.

Decanted and served first after 20 minutes, Rich dark purple color, very distinct legs, nose is grapy and “wood smoke?”, still somewhat tight in flavor at first, 15 minutes later, still austere and grapy with no fruit or berry elements, 20 minutes later still austere grapy with roundness in mouth and smooth finish
