From magnum and opened about 1.5hrs before tasting. Vibrant deep red/purple color; voluptuous nose with dark fruit, plum, saddle leather; full bodied with plenty on tannins and acid along with flavors of dark fruit, plum, soot/smoke. Not the longest finish but adequate complexity. Overall, a wine that balances between old world and new world.

Buried in the cellar. Found it and opened. The cork was dry and crumbled. That said the wine was very enjoyable.

Nice blackberry nose with a hint of cedar. Tannins are gone so 🍷 is quite acidic. Tart short finish.

After fourteen years a mature bottle and in a full swing mode. A beautiful crimson colour with a dark core, on the nose shows those rich, almost sweet notes of blackberry, carob and forest floor. Wood is present in cigar box aroma but well integrated. On the palate it is a medium-bodied wine, with a silky texture and a not very generous length. Ultra-dry final. Cru Classée quality. Después de catorce años una botella madura y en pleno apogeo. De …

harmonious, classy nose of delicate, creamy blackcurrants is attractive. taste is still quite tannic and woody, but delicious well-balanced sappy, rather bright fruit is very apparent. good concentration, not terribly subtle but richly satisfying. finish is a bit harsh and disappointing.

At this point, is has a distinct and dominating green pepper bouquet, extending to the palette. The complexity is fading now along with the fruit, as it assumes a rather vegetal character. Finish is medium short. Initially off-putting, the wine maintains a degree of elegance that grows on you. Medium body with nice viscosity, color, and opacity. It is a decent food wine, with the right plate. I do not see this improving with further cellaring. I will share my …

Lidt træt i farven.

Colour: Deep red with some signs of ageing; nose: black currant, tobacco, blackberry, spices...just very interesting and animating! Can compete with some more expensive wines. palate: again lots of black currant, tangiable tannins, nevertheless well balanced- but "only" an average finish. Still remarkable for it's price.

Lots of dark red fruit, tad sweet, finish falls off fast. If scoring 87-89.

Sunday night with homemade pizza. Popped and pour, on the nose mushrooms and earth dark fruits. Very nice easy to drink. Total different than the 2002 that I had last week but still interesting.

Very unique. Imagine the cherries( Ripe) with an edge of new mexico green chile. Amazing. Drink it now though as I think it may be headed south.

Deep purple. Some fruit upon initial pour, but 10-15mins in, big fruit. Firm structure and tannins made for a long finish. After 1.5hrs fully opened up. I really enjoyed this wine.

A great balance of fruit, spice and tannin. I was in Santiago in 2008 and this wine retailed for more than what I paid for it here. I'm thankful to have 3 more bottles. Drank with steak tar tar, olive bread and Brie. This wine crushed a $75 French Bordeaux I had a few days ago in flavor and depth.

Colour: [/ i] Deep dark red Aroma / bouquet: [/ i] Very expressive. An explosion of flavors. Sun-warmed, roasted, jammy dark fruit, cherry liqueur, licorice. Little subtle little refinement. Taste / Finish: [/ i] Sweetish start, super concentrated, cherry chocolates, mocha, bay leaf, pepper. General / potential: [/ i] Tsjah. A beautiful score from Uncle Bob, For me, this is too much. Too much concentration, too much alcohol and too little finesse. 50 + Color: 5 + Aroma / bouquet: …

This may be the best thing I've ever smelled. Imagine sticking your head into a giant donut filled with cherries, red raspberries, red currants, vanilla, and a little toasted cinnamon stick. The nose alone is worth the price of admission. Red currants race through the palate along with a little toasted oak and spice. Gripping and sweet tannins on the back end with a long finish. ($17)
