Malbecs ($20 to $40) (Dan's) : Interesting wine. Served cool (the label recommends 44-46F), I did not like this at all (although the group seemed to a bit). The nose had pineapple, the palate had grapefruit, but it was bitter and certainly seemed varietally atypical. Going back to it at the end of the evening, this had much improved. Bright and forward, with sweet, lifted aromas of white peach, clover honey and white flowers, this is light to medium bodied on the palate with medium acidity and an agressively floral, almost soapy profile.

Wijncursus Les 6 (Bij de lokale Vinoloog) : Uiterlijk: Lichtgeel, maar iets geler dan gelijk gedronken NZ Cabernet Sauvignon. Geur: middel intense geur, licht zoetig, typisch floraal, bloemen. Smaak: middel intense smaak, begint zoet en verloopt naar fruitzuur. Vooral zurige nasmaak blijft hangen. Lijkt een beetje op Elzas. Vrij korte afdronk, (gelukkig)
