Wine Selectors 50 Best Tasting (Wharf 2 13 Hickson Road Millers Point) : baked strawberry with raspberry jam underpin, a touch of sweet spice. Juicy and jammy on the palate with talc textured tannins and what feels like a smidge of residual sugar that is just about kept in check. Okay.

Deep red colour, with tinges of purple. Red fruit aromas dominate - particularly raspberry - but with strawberry and floral aromas too. Red fruits too on the palate, with maybe some plum and spice. Not great depth and length, but tasty enough. Maybe lacked a bit of liveliness and complexity after the 2012 Teusner Avatar, which is a fabulous Australian GSM.
