was not impressed.. not that many layers. Nor complex. For 30 Euro would not buy again. Much better to buy a Langhe nebbiolo, barbaresco or a brunello for the same price. Or Maybe bad vintage..

Outstanding Super Tuscan for the price point; excellent QPR. Fruit forward, tannins with soft and easy edges. Great food wine; gone before you know it. Recommended. Nice weight. In looking over earlier notes from others, I have to say: no longer thin, no longer Pinot-like. The window is open; enjoy!

Newest offering from the people who brought you Sassicaia, this is a well balanced and elegant wine that is brimming with fruit-raspberries, black cherries. A nice touch of wet earth and a cool minerality add to the complexity. Not much more you could ask for in a wine at this price. 4500 bottles available. Drink now- 2012. Food pairing: Filet mignon with mushroom sauce.

Bouquet: Spicy, toasted cedar, red berry/strawberry jam and black berry, reminiscent of a New World Pinot. Flavor: Ripe, jammy strawberry and blackberry fruit and cedar with sweet spice (cinnamon) showing on the finish. Comments: Soft acidity. I'm told this comes from a warmer area than Chianti (ie to the South) and that it is fruitier and designed for early drinking. Pretty tasty. About 4,700 yen.

This is an excellent Super Tuscan although it's still young- deep color with excellent structure, already fully integrated, fruit is perfect and finish lingers- this is a must buy and hold wine
