Initially the deep gold color concerned me, but the nose was classic white burgundy with lemon peel, green apple, a tad of stone fruit and crushed rocks ont the nose. Strong mineral character on the palate, with dusty chalk and lemon. Long finish.

A little too much alcochol at this stage and to me was closed. The 2015 charmes was more open. Needs many more years and hopefully it gets more resolved.

Tasted over 3 hrs -translucent med gold with flecks of green -moderately expressive ripe orchard fruit toasted hazelnut -med acidity gives a spark on the finish, med/med- weight but sappy lush complex orchard fruit hazelnut citrus saline faint oak spice, excellent length -this is crazy good now and seemingly plenty of life ahead of it, first time with this producer is a success

First time trying this wine after some good press in this forum. Initial view of a fleshier than expected wine. Less tension than I would expect from a perrieres. Stoned fruits on palate. Peach/nectarine. Quite soft mouth feel, with that sort of talcum powder feeling on mid palate. Decent, but would like a bit more structure and weight.

Wednesday Cellar Visits in Burgundy - Chateau de Meursault and Domaine des Croix (Cote d'Or) : Tasted at the domaine. Not flashy on nose or palate, in fact slightly austere flavors, but a vibrant mineral character that complements the subtle apple and spice through to a long, textured finish. Cellar 5+ years. 91-92 point potential.
