Wine is past prime and lost lot of its complexity and flavor. No longer an interesting wine, very pedistrian.

There seems to have been no decline in drinkability for this wine the WS suggested be drunk in 2002, although it didn't seem to improve much in the bottle either. That said, it was a very nice Chardonnay with good balance.

Anita: Nice simple oak smells; tart butter; wood; very rich oily body, full oak flavors and citrus mixed with fatter notes of lite caramel. This is a well made, but probably a little over oaked chard. Not bad at all, though! 3/21/03 hits it on the nose!

($13) Butterscotch and pineapple nose, fairly ripe, heavily oaked and a bit harsh mid palate (acidity? Oak?) Not thrilling, but far from swill. Amber in the glass, medium-full body. I liked it better day two.
