Deep ruby red. Essence of dried figs, raisens, bing cherries and fruit compote. Soft tannins well integrated with layers of red fruit dried figs and sweet cherries. Very enjoyable wine.

At first could get a good dose of oak on the nose but this totally blew off after about an hour in a decanter. As expected, very dark in the glass. Wonderful nose of raisins, coco, subtle spices, and a touch of mint - complex. well balanced on the palate - with the alcohol balancing the huge frame of the wine - long finish. Doesn't show its 10 years at all - could easily go for another 5 years. Outstanding …

This is a big, yummy amarone; still young, hot but not overly complex.

A graceful and gentle giant. Yes, this has the requisite chocolate-cherry sweetness, but it also shows fresh and dried cherries, black walnut bitterness, only the barest hint of raisin, and quite a lot of elegant earthiness. Very fresh tasting, with good acidity and lift, and soft but well-composed tannins.

Rich full bodied. tastes of cherry notes, leather and raisins. Sweet but balanced tannins. got better over 4 days. Good but Amarone isn't my favorite.

My first Amarone. Not really my kind of wine. However, I was surprised that despite being 15% abv, it did not smell or taste hot.
