Well past it’s prime, but still shows well. Black fruit, cedar, cassis, leather notes, earthy notes. A-

Recent notes have not been strong on this wine, but this bottle really shined after about 2 hours. PnP is not the right treatment here. Right out of the cellar the wine opens with high acidity, tart cherries and herbs. As this settles the layers of black cherry, cigar box, leather, savory sage and coffee grinds come though. The nose grows deep and savory along the way. Very good wine.

While this wine is past it's prime it still has life. Very little sediment. Light + in color but not brown. Still has a lot of fruit on the pallat cherry is the predominant fruit along with cedar. Great wine after 30 min really evolved and became more smooth then paired with chocolate and tannins were brought back to life.

Intense red fruits and floral aromas with cigar box notes mixed in as well, the wine opens with tiers of red fruit, vibrant and fresh, raspberry, blackberry, cherry, cranberry, faint strawberry notes all on a very silky frame with a finish that lasts 30 seconds. Light earthy and faint oak spice flavors also emerge on the finish. Hard to believe the wine is almost 20 years old, so young, alive, great drink tonight, one of the best Napa cabs in …

- Garnet color with slow forming legs and aromas of black currant, blackberry, raisin and eucalyptus. It's somewhat balanced and has flavours of blackberry, licorice anise, mushroom and tobacco with a medium/full body. Narrow texture with a medium finish.

Nice but getting old, felt a bit faded.

let this one languish in the back of the cellar too long. Thin, brown color with lots of sediment. Nose of stale cork and funky mildew odors. Not the makers fault, this one was not built to age 14 years, should have drank it 10 years ago! Instead ... the drain.

Consistent with my prior note.Perhaps past its prime, but still drinking well. Tannins are gone but fruit is left-lots of it.

I wonder what this tasted like when they put it in the bottle? Surely it had tannins and fruit. What happened to the tannins? Disappeared into the fruit? I think they put the cabernet sauvignon label on a bottle of pretty good syrah. This is a fruit bomb. Not as purple as Syrah, but a lot of similarity on the nose--dark smells including meat and dirt. Berry, currant, and dare I say prune on the palate with a forgettably short …

I agree with Parker entirely on this wine. It is fully mature and approaching a peak.
