Opened at 3pm and drank through dinner! Beautiful golden hue with toasted tropical fruits and a sharp palate. Rounded up with more air and the last pours were the best.

Served with a mix of cheeses. Perfectly paired with aged Comte. Honey, white flowers, Brazillian nut, mineral, a bit visqous. Seemed it has developed an almost sweetness with time. Could not think of a better white to pair with cheese Delicious and my first time trying Ganevat.

Beautiful nose with notes of white flowers, lemon, minerals, a hint of white pepper, and just a little bit of riper yellow fruit. High acidity with lots of lemon, lemon zest, minerals, green apple, and juicy fruit on the palate. Long finish. Wow, this is fantastic! Complex, with tons of brightness and almost electric acidity.

Ganevat Dinner (San Francisco) : Mineral driven nose with mostly citrus flavors that's much more delicate but also prettier than the 2009. Nice acidity on the palate with more lemon and mineral notes. Nice finish. Really lovely wine that was super drinkable. Next to the 09 it was maybe a bit less complex, but showed better balance and brighter flavors. This will only get better with time. 94++

I continue to be very impressed with this wine. It continues to mellow. Golden color. White peach, raw honey and summer herb nose. The palate maintains its zippy freshness while the fruit matures. I like this right now as the mix of complexity and freshness is compelling. (93)

Sunday hangout (socially distanced) (Chicago, IL) : Served double blind, but based on some previous conversations I had with the owner of this, I knew what this was. A fat and lusciously rich chardonnay, with a bit of headiness and lots of stone fruit flavours. Showing quite youthfully for the vintage, with plenty of acid and minerality. Not spritzy like the 2015 I had at the Castel de Très Girard last year, but certainly kin.

Oxidative notes at first, but improved dramatically over four days. Always impressed with the clarity, balance, finesse, depth and layers of spice. Golden color. Pungent nose that has flowers, wild herbs and lime zest elements. Almost aggressive there is so much going on. The palate has mellowed but is so loaded with extract that a small sip fills the mouth with quince, white peach and other zippy fruits. A mouthwatering wine that is drinking beautifully. Oh là, quel beau vin! Robe foncée, texture quasi huileuse. Nez puissant et multidimensionnel marqué par un élevage bien dosé qui évoque un peu Meursault. En bouche c'est gras, large et tendu. Just a tad below the recently tasted '08, but in the same style; no burgundy, but yes, a very authentic chardonnay, a bit square, in the midtaste but finding its balance in an elegant dry and nutty aftertaste; simply lovely.

Blind tasting as usual. Nose classic, of hay pebbles stones and kiwi. Mouth sharp and focused as expected from Jura. A chardonnay ouillé (not oxydised). To young for the moment, still in balck and white : it lacks his color. Keep at least for five years.
