Three hour decant. Deep rosy magenta color. Rose petals, cotton candy, dried raspberry and boysenberry, and beef bouillon on the somewhat earthy nose. Immediately tongue drying palate. The acidity has an effervescent quality. Soft, but present tannins on the spicy, medium finish. This is a hard to pin down wine. Every sip was different. It’s basically an Italian Chateauneuf du pape.
