Vines planted 1910-1965. Warm vintage, good rain, cool night. Oct harvest for a normally early harvest grape. Aged in new barrels (50% American and 50% French oak). Deep purple with ruby edge in glass. Nose shows black cherry, black plums, nutmeg, vanilla and chocolate from oak. Dry, high acidity, high tannins, high alc, full body.
