La Cuna de la Poesia Rioja Reserva

Wow, much better than I remembered. Still needs plenty of time to breathe and open up.

Earthy and basic fruit. this particular bottle seemed a bit more integrated.

This bottle was much more balanced and tasty than the others I have had. It mellowed nicely as it set; about 4 hours it was much better and I used an aerator on all pours. Moderate red fruits with a bit of tartness on the front and some nice medium dry tannins.

Decant this sucker! It brings out the fruit, and mellows everything else. Simple and drinkable.

Decently priced. Decant for hours before drinking. An honest, simple temp.

I liked this bottle more than the previous two but I rated it lower....I believe I was too nice to the wine on those first two tastings. A basic Rioja but not deserving of the Reserva label in quality. If it met the production standards for Reserva, they wasted at least a year of their aging time

Good basic Rioja but not all that great for a Reserva. Tempranillo flavors show and nice mild tanninc finish

Nice but not anything extra special. It opens on first taste abit slow but after a sip or two more or especially after some food it opens up and gives nice Tempranillo flavors. Finish has a nice mouthfeel and some light-weight tannin that lasts about medium. After the first few sips, I cleared my palate with a soda cracker and it brought out nice flavors of rare meat and some spiciness in the next few tastes. This is not a …

Good bang for the buck. Very nice nose, approachable wine to serve to guests.

No character, flat. Adequate for spaghetti or pizza. Not bad - just not real good.
