Château Pineraie Cahors L'Authentique

A deepish, dark crimson-tinged ruby. The slightly-spiced plum nose fades and allows some very, very minor weedy notes into the picture. The palate has a nicely ripe front, but after that point it becomes quite thin and hollow. Although my conclusion was that all the flavour was on the front palate, it did redeem itself with a sweet finish. Good plus, I suppose, and seemingly with a lot of time in hand.
