Russell Creek Merlot Winemaker's Select

Ok, quite a unique tasting experience...massive oak along w/extreme eucolyptius...a bizare combinaton that almost worked, dark chocolate intertwined...certainly original...appreciate the creativity, but still lacking.

Popped and vinturi'd tonight, nose of dark fruit and earth. Soft, smooth and easy drinking. Drank w/the boys/neighbors, bottle went pretty quick..full bodied w/that nice Walla Walla fruit. Pretty nice, even in an off year for the appellation.
