Cellar No. 8 Zinfandel California

Under $10 wines for Charity (Val and Ron's) : I believe this was $8. Its fine. There is some Zin like qualities to it. a bit peppery with some red fruits. Lighter in style and body. I did not catch the alc levels but there is no heat and given the lighter body, I would not think it at the higher levels. For the money, its a fine wine with no obvious flaws. Certainly makes a good party wine.

Pretty typical for a modestly priced grocery store Zinfandel. Nothing really jumps out as exceptional but generally the whole package is smooth and tasty. Textbook thin skinned grape moderate viscosity. The dark fruit profile does not blow you away but is solid and commendable for under $10. Nice dark color. Lingering berry finish. Not bad.
