Pretty lean and tart - not much improvement with age. Not a great pinot vintage.

A lot of tartness when first opened. Raspberry and cranberry fruit, then a little baking spice. More old world style than new. 3/30/2016 More plum and some blueberry fruit this time. Still a bit tart at the start, but seems more rounded than what I wrote last time, so I guess age has been good to it. 10/08/2017 More blueberry and black fruit. Nice roundness. Better with age, no doubt.

A bit tart and dull at first, but opened up with time. Not a great vintage for this house - leaner fruit but decent complexity. I'd drink soon.

Served with baked salmon, roasted potatoes and sautéed squash at dinner with Rod Robrock. Also served Ponzi 2011, which Rod preferred. Both Ardis and I preferred this one. A bit more fruity and longer lasting. Excellent.

Big cinnamon stick up front on the nose. Candy, currant and raspberry. Flavors of spicy red berry fruit. Big acid that lingers. Agressive style. Cinnamon candy along with ripe fruit and white pepper.
