Overrated. Actually disappointing for such a highly rated wine. Tasted as though cabbage had been cooked in cheap vino, and we drank the juice. The previous bottle was worse.... Brettanomyces!!!!

Argiano tasting (Wine What Else) : Even more Brunello de Montalcino like than the 2002. An excellent wine from an excellent vintage – this was a clear step up from the 2002 and several ahead of the 2005. Really complex, layered nose, showing pepper, dark, dark fruit like plums and sweet candied black cherries, some nuttiness, savoury meat and a lifted, briary thorn-bush aspect.
