Brick red. Nice savoury nose. Very savoury palate - almost a bit sweet and raisiny. Maybe a bit past it’s prime but still very drinkable

Light in color with considerable bricking at edges. Light in body with little remaining structure. Very soft with mainly candied fruit remaining on the palate. Drinkable and pleasant, but not a characteristic Ch d Pape. 5/21 - Drank my second bottle. Markedly different. Just a touch of bricking. Decent structure. Much more characteristic of CdP. Both bottles maintained in the same manner. Can't expain the difference.

Purchased on release for $15. Thin, watery and insipid. Like drinking really weak tea. A total invertebrate wine - no backbone. Would have been better off buying a reputable $15 Gigondas at that price. Live and learn.
