Nieto Senetiner, Don Nicanor Malbec, Mendoza

Did a vertical blind tasting between the 2018 and 2019 vintages. My companion definitely preferred the 2019 vintage (this one) and I found them comparable, though slightly more complex notes for the 2019. Interestingly, the 2019 vintage (this one) had a fully natural cork and the earlier 2018 a reconstituted cork, so nice to see some wineries bucking the trend and going towards using MORE natural cork!

Good for the price. A little "raw" perhaps needs a few years more. For those who care about these sorts of things, it comes in a "Burgundy" bottle instead of the more typical for a Malbec, "Bordeaux" bottle.
