Still taking a couple of hours+ to really fill out, this hits a really nice place of balance between fruit and structure, elegance and power, then held that well over 3 nights. WOTN at a dinner with friends. Big, complex and satisfying Malbec & Cab Franc blend. So glad I stocked up, especially at the $40 I paid -- which is a steal for this wine! It is drinking great after just a little air and should age for several more years.

Double decanted 2 hrs prior to serving and it was singing. Similar notes to last bottle but perhaps a little darker tonight. Deep ruby and purple color. 👃🏻 dark cherry, chocolate, and vanilla 👅 dark cherry, plum, white pepper, cocoa, and vanilla with about 33 sec finish Superb QPR and pairs well with pasta and steak.

A great experience Friday night, my fourth bottle of 2015 Marcelo Pelleriti Felipe Staiti Honor from Argentina. 75% Malbec and 25% Cabernet Franc, where Cab Franc creates complexity to the dark and powerful that is typical of Malbec. Needs an hour or so to integrate the alcohol. Fine tannins that bite off just right, this was perfect for grilled whole fillet of beef (55 °C), grilled skewers and a bulgur salad. 🙏🍷

First of 2 ($35@) from a recent purchase from online discounter #1. On the open, the feel of a $25 Cahors (ah, the $25 Cahors at Friends and Family sitting outside in Paris just under a year ago!), with lots of lift, herbality from the CF, crunchy black currants and very sharp elbows, but after 45 minutes, the creme de cassis starts pumping with blackberries, graphite, gravel, oak, dark chocolate and espresso. Decanted with stir and it opened in about an hour. Vacuvin’d the rest and decanted and had similar results. Deep ruby color. 👃🏻 red cassis, raspberry, cherry 👅 raspberry, tart cherry, cocoa, and vanilla with about 30-33 sec finish. Very nice QPR and pairs well with bolognese pasta and steak, basically any meat in general.

WTSO special. Holy.... wow....awesome. I think every now and then a really hedonistic wine is so enjoyable. We had this after a 2021 Bordeaux Blanc. So my palate was ready for something with a little umph. This wine is spectacular. Color. Intense red with purple. At 7 years old, it still has amazing power and delineation of smells. Consumed alongside the Orion, it was bigger, thicker, and drier. But in many ways, it was quite similar to the Cali. Big black and blue fruit notes, some smoke, mineral, and spicy notes. Finishes long and strong. Excellent QPR. QPR 8 (of 10) Aging 2026 at least

I mirror HSACKS notes, except put more emphasis on the spiciness. A wonderul 75% Malbec/25% Cab Franc blend. More lively than most Malbecs from Argentina. Best on the 3rd day. Fairly priced @$40 on WTSO. There is a bit of earthiness to it that makes it better with food rather than alone.

Deep red color. Aromas of blueberries, dried herbs, chocolate and wood spices. Full-bodied but well-integrated fruit in the mouth with excellent depth and length. Nicely complex and textured on the palate. While still young, delicious with the outstanding meats from Mile’s BBQ.
