Tasted during a South Australia vineyard safari. Dark garnet with lighter rim. Oxidative nose intermixed with dark fruit and beef stock spices. I think this one is over the hill. No tasting note given.

A really nice shiraz, a definite cut above the average. Full bodied, very fine and integrated tannins, easy to drink yet still somewhat complex. Dried cherries, prunes, tar, balsam and oak dominate the flavor profile. It is quite opaque in color; it looks unfiltered though I don't know whether it is or not. A little hot at the end. I see no reason to believe this won't keep improving for a few years more.

Rich raspberry nose and mouth, spicy and mouth-filling. Full bodied, but balanced.
