Initial funk, cherry, and alcohol on the nose. The alcohol blew off shortly, palate a bit shrill to start but settled; nice cherry fruit left behind. Drink up if you have them.

Opened at the CDP by Allred. From magnum. A little funk at first but it blew off. Sweet red fruit with cranberry. Drinking well. 91 points.

Ripe fruit and earthy notes on the nose with a bit of spritz on the palate with moderate length on the finish. With more air time it develops some over-ripe notes. Drink up, I don't see this improving. Not up to the $44 I paid from the winery, but at $18 on the open market it's reasonable.

Drinking very well. Tannins soft and in the background. I suspect it's not going to get alot better.

I have always found Siduri Pinot ideosyncratic which also means that each wine is very different from one another and, for the most part, signals of locale. Red with purple highlights. Deep color. Not quite brilliant. Attractive, complex, powerful nose of cola, cherry, spicy high tone( note: none of the earthy quality of the Lachini from Willamette that we had last night.) Surprising cola ( reminds me of may Santa Lucia Highlands Pinot- mountain grown? the clone?) in this wine, …

Secondary fermentation - first pinot I've had with this flaw. Drinkable, but too acidic to be really enjoyable.

Decanted for 45 minutes. Wonderful nose of fruit and cola. Amazing balance with the right amount of acidity and complexity. Medium finish. It will be tough to sit the rest for a while, but likely improve for at least a few years.

*this juice was carbonated* - a new phenomenon to me. Due to secondary fermentation? or CO2 introduction during bottling? Getting a lot more dust/earth/underbrush and less fruit than most reviewers, so probably a flawed bottle. Even so - it was very enjoyable once the CO2 blew off.

As usual this Siduri wine is outstanding, and for the price point even better. Agree with others tasting notes.

WOW. At $18 this was an insane bargain. Rich, spicy, coca cola, funky...this was everything I like in Siduri. Sooooo different young then their aged classics. Hope to stock up on this one if possible.

Interesting comparision here having just had the Tandem Van der Kamp Pinot. More cinamon spice here, more developed with that same cardomom sense going on. And chocolate. Very spritzy on the palate with that dark chocolate core on the palate. A little bit funky on the back end with that lingering spritziness. I guess I am going to conclude that the bottle is slightly flawed. Hmmm... hard to know exactly.

Decanted ninety minutes. Dark ruby hued, with aromas of candied red and black fruits, earth, and game meats. Big flavors of ripe black cherry, wild berry, licorice and Pepsi cola turn smoky and a bit hot on the medium-long finish. I like the masculine style, but am finding it primary and somewhat disjointed at this stage.

We really enjoyed this wine. Great fruit profile, cherry and red berries. Nice structure. Some of the primary fruit character is settling down, revealing some elegance and strength. A nice example of a CA PInot with 8 years on it. I need to get some more.

Bright red fruits, minerals and that characteristic pine needle. Lots of acid spine in this wine. In fact the highest acid levels I can remember from a Siduri Pinot. Will go a number years. Best enjoyed with food.

Pinot Noir Tasting (Meo Camuzet, Flowers, Hansel, Cristom...) (Zoot Restaurant) : First Siduri I've ever liked to some extent. Very primary wine that has so much fruit left at this point. Only problem is that the fruit overpowers everything else, soi I'm not so sure there's any structure underneath. The pretty balckberry and blueberry turns slightly medicinal on the finish.
