Vidon Tempranillo Explorer

This seemed a bit out of balance - acidic but without the heft to carry it through. Maybe this needed to open up more, but I'm not sure. We'll see what others think and revisit this in a year or two.

Well rounded and delicious. Not much above and beyond to write home about. Terrific wine but perhaps lacking in the secondary “I need some more”

Dark blackberry fruit mixed with big roasted notes. The nose also contains some savory herbal and roasted hazelnut elements and a touch of leather. In the palate this is round and well structured. The profile comes in with pure spiced dark berry fruits and finishes toasty. Big and beautiful.

For me, too big and too ripe.

Willamette Tempranillo? Yeah, we better try that. Unfortunately didn’t dig it. A lot of alcohol, a lot of oak, a lot of the bottle down the drain…
