Full bodied, tanins still present and well integrated. Dark red berry fuits , medium length and complexity. Tasting blind I would say it is younger than its 2012 vintage. Drinking well now with no hurry to consume. Enjoyable but no trophy winner.

Wine Ark Boys supps (Bistro Felix, Ash Street) : Dusty, jubey blackberry and blackcurrant on the nose and this translates to the palate but, oh, those tannins - like sucking a compote coated pebble. Marvelous fun with Cote de Boeuf

Excellent. Grippy, grainy tannins very evident but so perfectly balanced by delicious red and black fruit and subtle use of oak that you can drink this Tannat/Cab Sauv blend without food. Nice acidity and length of flavour with dark chocolate, spice and more savoury notes emerging after a little breathing. Terrific value at under £9 from Nicolas.
