Sainsbury's Taste the Difference English Sparkling

yeasty nose with some butter very fine bubbles lemony but a bit bland Tastes like it might be a bit too old without developing mature notes V. disappointing

I'm a big fan of some English wines, but this was disappointing. It was entirely primary and only exhibited the aromas and flavours of lemon mixed with sugar. I've liked some wines by Denbies but it's better to trade up to their pricier options. This didn't reveal anything else on night two, so it's unlikely to improve with age. It's drinkable but not worth the money.

Blind Tasting of 5 English Sparkling Wines and one Champagne : Good. Mid straw appearance. Small light bubbles. Dry - Mid level acidity. Quite a soft wine; quite light and refined. Nice mid length finish. Flabbergasted that we rated this 1st out of 6 in a blind tasting of English Sparkling wines – totally against my pre-conceptions of this wine.
