Immediately the apple hits you! Then it becomes creamy and pastry like..like an apple turnover but the apples were brightened with the juice of a lemon.

When this went on sale at my local H-E-B (I love my H-E-B), I bought a few bottles to serve my in-laws when they come over for dinner. Always a solid wine and a solid deal at twenty bucks, this is loaded with tons of tree fruit and a brilliant acidity. It doesn't hurt that it is from Alsace, my "home" of sorts in France. Good but not exceptional. Would recommend more as a pre-dinner wine or mixer for sparkling cocktails.

Notes of apple and citrus, with a slight brioche note on the finish. Bubbles were a bit aggressive. Otherwise, a tad simple, but good QPR. Would probably do well as both a casual porch sparkler, or even a mixer for cocktails.

This slept in the cellar for at least 10 years. it was surprisingly vivid, low acidity, but interesting brioche notes still, color was light yellow and all very well together, lacking some depth, but overall very nice to drink.

This cremant offers quite ordinary characteristics of the style. Lemon and stonefruit along with a slight yeastyness from lees aging. Perfect acceptable for the price but nothing extraordinary. Great wine for parties!

A truly lovely champagne! Goes well with anything you would want bubbly with. Was superb with a baked potato , fresh steamed green beans, sliced tomato, and chicken nuggets .

Medium yellow color. Medium, youthful aromas of apple and pear. Dry, agressive mousse, med acid, med(+) finish. Extremely simple, lacking acidity, boring.

CBCC spring wine tasting (part 2) Once again the sparkling wine is just ok. Slightly acidic and nearly out of control as it was biting. Some strawberry and peach notes on the palette with short and modest lingering flavors. It has an acidic dominated mouthfeel like my last tasting.

Light pink / orange in color. High effervescence. Light body. Not much to the nose; peach and nectarine, high alcohol which overpowers the subtle fruit flavors.

4/5 STILL QUITE GOOD, A LITTLE PAST PRIME The wine looks yellow brown colored. The legs are fast. There is no sediment in the bottle. It smells like prune, grapefruit, orange, apricot, pear, honey and sherry. It tastes like grapefruit, orange, prune, pear, apricot, cantaloupe, black pepper and honey. The body is medium. The wine has silky texture. The wine finishes long. The wine has low acidity.

I'm a fan of the Albrecht rose, but I didn't love this one. Many people have commented on its clean finish, but to me, there was a lingering, mouth-coating finish that was just a little cloying.

Bright gold. Pretty fine mousse. Green apple and some floral notes on the nose and palate. Some chalky notes on the relatively short finish. Clean and bright - good qpr for a $20 bottle

100% Pinot Noir. Hand harvested, 6-8 weeks controlled fermentation in stainless steel, bottled for 12 months. Stunning bottle with the red foil and label complementing the color of the wine. Elegant. Fruity, floral, and delicious. Dry and crisp, very refreshing.

Piercing, expansive, and flavorful! Highly appealing textures, weight, and range, serious acid, impressive finish. Food-loving! 89-90.

Nice Easy Fun Great price

Decent value.

Light gold color. Beautiful nose of lemons and pears, topped with honey, sea salt, bread dough and white flowers – a whole lot going on for a wine at this price point. Zesty and chalky on the palate with yellow apples and lemon fruit, mixed with some nuanced biscuit and dough notes. Nice verve and floral/salty kick. A classic value Cremant that would please a wide spectrum of palates. Pinot Blanc and Auxerrois with a 10 g/l dosage.

One of the best values for bubbles, nice and chalky with good fruit tight bubbles and nice aromatics.

Served with friends to sip; pleasant for a crowd. Good balance of crispness/acidity and fruit; not sweet. Brut is probably right. Not a star but good value.

Sparkling, pale straw color, with a nose of yeast and green apple. Fine bubbles, tart in the mouth with tastes of bread and ripe pear. Relatively short finish.

Really nice and appley, almost like cider. Very pleasant and decent for the price.

It’s certainly not going to blow your mind but it’s a solid Cremant. Seems almost like it was bottled at too low pressure, as it’s definitely fizzy but the mousse is a little too creamy for my taste. This was pretty good. You’re not going to find anything better at this price point. I enjoyed this thoroughly.

Mediocre but pleasant rose champagne. Some strawberry and peach notes on the palette with short and modest lingering acdic dominated mouthfeel. Might improve but I just don't think so. Suzy felt it was fine.

Very good. Golden straw color with light bubbles that fade a bit. This lacks the striking acidity of many champagnes. Palate has expressions of toasted almond, rice wine, soy, and tempura. Very smooth and clean tasting, a great value.

Pale color. Fairly flat on the nose. Mild fruitiness with notes of pear and mirin (?). Harsh acidity with a somewhat hollow finish. Average.

On the nose I found green apples, lemon, whole butter and chalky minerals. The palate showed granny smith apple, flower petals and grassy tones with a bitter feel that was then washed clean by a strong core of acidity. On the finish, the senses were left dry, but then began to water with lingering notes of grapefruit and walnut.

100% Pinot Blanc but it is actually 70% Pinot Auxerrois. I bit of funk, almost Chenin like texture thing going on. Works at $21. Goes through 100% malo to get it fuller with less acidity.

The nose offers generous tones of ripe green apples, sea spray, and lemon-pine. On the palate the wine is focused and fresh, framing orchard fruits within a tropical edge. The mid-palate is mineral driven with a mild metallic bite, leading to a medium length finish defined by refreshing lemon acidity. Solid as always; excellent QPR. Delivers a lot of what I look for in Champagne at a third of the price or less. Dry but refreshing, with a touch of toastiness to add a touch of richness. 87-88
