15 months after the prior: Dark bright ruby in color. The essences of violets that we appreciated in the first few bottles seem to be fading, yet this is no less enjoyable. All in balance, with nice acidity. Lovely over the course of six nights, gassed (Coravin Pivot) in between.

Five months after the prior, and our third: Again, lovely essence of violets. Beautifully balanced, with nice acid backbone. Highly enjoyable over three nights, gassed in between.

One month after the prior: We agree with a note below — lovely essence of, among other things, violets. Very enjoyable again over three nights — and we purchased more.

Definitely a repeat. The best of Gamay - violets, floral and subtle. Low/ no tannins and acid. So, best to enjoy it as a standalone aperitif or with a mild, young cheese.

The note directly below describes it very well. In addition, we will say, nice — only 13% ABV — a welcome change from previous hot vintages, helping to keep it fresh and lively. Very enjoyable over three nights.

Cru Beaujolais (K&L Wine Merchant - Redwood City) : Aromas of deep dark red fruits with deep earth and dark red florals. Has a gentle funkiness that blows off quickly, and one that doesn’t intrude. Dark red cherries on the palate but with an awesome earthiness to dilute any ripeness from the cherries, leaving just a hint of it. Light dusting of graphite, gently spiced aged oak, and a linger of minerals on the finish.

sampling Cru Beaujolais : ruby colour and medium-ish body. bubblegum, raspberry, fresh herbs and soil notes on the nose. a bit tight in the mouth at the moment, the earthiness gives way to black cherries and dark fruit compote flavours that gain in concentration but are balanced by a mineral and tannic backbone. good length. this is too young at the moment and will need a bit of time to really come together. 13% AbV; from three different vineyard plots …

Wonderfully refined, muscular Beaujolais. Approachable and balanced now but will be better in a decade and more.

Dark ruby color. Dried cranberry and raspberry on the nose. Dried cranberry, mulberry, grilled meat, slight leather, slight black pepper on the palate with a core of nice acidity and lingering ~35 sec finish. Very nice pairing with a number of foods including pork tenderloin and mushroom pasta, lemon creamy chicken, etc.. One of the better gamays I have tried and really enjoyed the tasting at this winery with the winemaker.
