John Kosovich Wines Verdelho

Our last bottle of this vintage and got a bit mixed up in the serving with other wines. Assuming that I am reporting on the correct wine, it was still drinking beautifully, good complexity, mouthfeel and acid balance. Still quite fruity and certainly got some life in it yet. A very different style somehow to Talijancich but lovely drop.

Tasted at Vintage 64 Club 2007 ladies lunch. Crystal clean, pale straw in colour. The nose had not unpleasant grassy overtones, backed by citrus characters. The palate had the characteristic Verdelho herbaceousness and the clean, crisp dryiness you expect from this wine at this age. Had an intrguing honey sweenes emerge right at the end. As the wine warmed in the glass the mouth feel moved into a richer, creamier style. A very good wine that will develop for some …
