As with most Shaw wines, this has admirable flavor intensity and a lot of oak but in a balanced and pleasant sense. Mature, lots of cherry and spice, delicious.

Really well made Finger Lakes Pinot Noir, we are frequent visitors to the Finger Lakes and Shaw is among our very favorite stops. Always great and age worthy.

July 2019 Trip to the Finger Lakes; 7/27/2019-7/28/2019 (Seneca Lake) : Tasted at the winery, and it was our favorite bottle that we tasted there. Beautiful, tawny color--clear visual evidence of the Shaw extended aging program. Dried figs and cocoa dusted cherries. Baking spices, but the oak is overall very well integrated. Long, long finish. I would have been happy to buy a bottle of this, and I'm sympathetic to the fact that the extended aging boosts Shaw's costs per-bottle, …
