Sehr dunkles Bernstein Tolle Quittennase, schöner Schmelz mit ordentlich Süsse im Gaumen. Abgang mit langer Süsse. Ich liebe diesen Duft und das Bouquet, wunderbar! 19/20

Sehr dunkles Bernstein Sehr schöne Nase nach Quitte Fülliger opulenter Geschmack mit nicht allzu dominanter Süsse und guter Säure. Abgang eher verhalten 25 Jahre, ein schöner Süsswein! 18/20

Beautiful bottle. Glass stopper closure. Fresh green apple, lemon tart, river stones. Considerable mouth feel and balance of sugar & acid. At least 5 years of peak drinking awaits those lucky enough to have this nectar.

1993: mild petro, noe banan, men også friske noter av pasjonsfrukt og mandarin. Frisk først i munnen, før en tyngre frukt setter inn, med en del banan, men flott balansert av appelsin og mandarin. Også et fint myntepreg. Deilig vin.

Disappointing - not really a GG to me. Sweet yellow apples, smoky notes on the palate, oak (?) and weak lemon notes. Lacks acidity and minerality.

Salil does Chicago 2; 4/6/2016-4/10/2016 (Chicago, IL) : AP illegible, 8% abv. This had a few similarities to the 1990 Fritz Haag BJS Auslese that I opened yesterday, with its lovely roundness coupled with racy acidity. This showed a little bit creamy, and the minerality wasn't as pronounced as I would have preferred, this was just a seamless and eminently drinkable example of Auslese. Don't think this bottle was pristine. Rather flat, advanced and slightly oxidative, there's still some fruit and mature smokiness beneath as well, but absolutely no acidity and it doesn't taste anything like what I'd expect from a 1990 Mosel.

DOA - oxidized.

8% alcohol. a perfect bottle (750 ml)...thanks, jock! this is the elusive *** edition of this wine. so rich and complex, it's easy to mistake it for a VT. the color was just barely turning gold. there is a long life ahead for other lucky owners. a memorable treat.

AP #6-91. Dinner at Acme with Steve & Suzanne. Light gold in the glass, this medium bodied wine is ready to go but seems to still have several years of pleasurable drinking ahead of it. Filled with citrus, grapefruit, green apples and minerals followed by a medium length finish. 50+12+11+8+8 = 89
