Blueberry, plum and blackberry nose. Thick and jammy. Smoke, tobacco and blueberries. Sweet but not cloying. Creamy and delicious. Exquisite desert wine. Agree with dates. Only a little time left at peak.

This dessert wine is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Marzemino. The grapes are dried in the style of the region and then aged in ne french oak. This is the first vintage made of this wine. 16.5% alcohol. $25 purchase. This did not have the bite or alcohol notes of a port. Extremely grapey with blackberry and cassis notes.
